The day had gone by and my leg was in tact
The hospital was cold and no time to react
I was rushed in the room
Emergency needed
The pain was so bad
The infection succeeded
It spread like a fire that burned with each flame
I’d wake up to the world and not be same
The tears flowed like a river through nights of despair
I felt all alone with this burden to bear
My life had been shaken, my dreams had all gone
All that was left was one leg to walk on
Why couldn’t I pass away, on the operating room table
Instead of living in a world where I’m considered disabled
I’ve struggled with questions, for answers not given
But I became stronger, and continued on living
I challenged myself so that I can rise above
I found beauty within so now I can love
My life has had troubles, Obstacles to be exact
But I won’t surrender to this

Do not mistake solitude for loneliness,
For solitude brings its own friends.
It can bring peace and understanding,
The joyous sound of children laughing
Echoing across the years.
The clink of glasses,
Raised in ceremonious hope,
A fingertip touch, that meant so much more.
Solitude has time for you,
It can say, Take me home
And I will lie with you
While you warm your heart
In the embers of desire.
It will stand by your side
As you watch your first sunrise
And still be fresh
As that same sun then slips into the pocket
Of the coat, worn by night.
But beware of its rival,
For loneliness has no peace.
It cannot understand the joy of solitude.
It will place its hand over the mouths of children
And you will try, but fail
To hear the laughter that belongs to you.
Its glass lies empty
Dashed on the rock of truth,
Its embers have grown cold
And leave you shivering
As a helpless puppy
Who trembles in fear.
You stand alone at sunrise,
For loneliness shuns the light of day
Preferring its pocket of darkness,
Unwilling to see the dawn of truth
So be on your way with solitude
And give no thought to loneliness and its life

When the kingfisher stops singing *Winner- 4th place
When the Kingfisher stops singing
And has tears in his eyes
The rivers run dry, never to rise
And the moonlight glistens no more on the sea Spare a moment and think of me
With the sun so bright yet no shadows cast How long will these treasured memories last With a heart that is tainted with despondency Spare a minute and think of me
When you are there so far away
The colour of my life is turning grey
But I will survive, I will go on
I ask only one thing from thee
Spare an hour and think of me
I watch the bird's fly to there nests a night And see the moon shining so warm and bright Can you see it from where you are?
Then the distance between us is not that far where have you gone my precious star?
Spare a day and think of me
A moment, a minute, an hour or day
That's all it took and you went away
If I could change time I'd do what I can Instead of a boy I'd become a man I'd taste your sweet lips so tender and fine But much more important I'd make you mine

What does "disability" mean?
It means what you have not gone through...
But, it all takes time and you're going to achieve it.
Keep your head high -- to the sky
And say, "this is who I am and I'm proud of it!"
See, it is nothing to be shameful of. So, get out and show your best.

DEPRESSION
"Is depression really me?" you might ask; It is not you...
Perceive the possible --
Don't let anyone get you down.

i see him in his chair , with thoughts in my head
i decided to write , and to my delight . he writes.
a soft spoken man , full of life .
he says he is disabled , but how can i, being abled .
do i keep the conversation going . or do i run not caring.
what the hell i will try . worst comes to worst , friends at the most.
month has past, happy and go lucky we are . more then friends
here we are.
things have been spoken and thoughts heard . how can this be.
a true love can it be ?
i no longer see his chair his vent nor do i care.
we shared a a special day cuddling and holding till dark.
till i had to part .
i have lost in love and love has lost me .
but this man so loving and kind . he showed love will find .
a true sense of heart, hope love will never part.
he can't walk nor can he dance . but he hold me a in a trance.
his touch is gentle and his words are meaningful .he caresses my face and kisses my lips
my heart is his as we melt into each others grips.
for the first time love has found us both. can this be the love lost.

Just Me
I may not be brilliant
Or have a degree
But I know who I am
And I like what I see
I may not be stunning
In most people's eyes
With a bountiful body
And thunderous Thighs
I don't like the things
That most women like
Don't hang around men
Guess that makes me a dyke
I may not be perfect
With only one leg
But at least I don't sit
On the sidewalks and beg
My sight isn't perfect
But that's ok too
I still do the things
That I like to do
I don't have much money
A house or a car
But the things that I have
A more precious by far

What is the proper distance to watch a flower grow, what is the right distance,
What is the rightest distance, that's what I long to know?
How far away, how far away, yet close enough to see,
The growing blooming flower you are, and are to be?
Always far enough away to never, never block the light,
To never block or hinder suns pure tender loving sight.
Also the light you give to the universe beyond,
Ever boundless, ever growing, never shadowed, never bound.
Yet how close, how close is right to rightly nurture and support,
How close dare I to ask to rightly nurture and surround?
More fully loved, yet never drained or smothered,
Ever blooming, never bound.
Just to watch the timeless unfolding and play whatever part I play,
To see the blooming and unfolding of each step along the way.
To see each successive petal open to its inner most within,
To reveal the fullest love and beauty that is there since time began.
Indeed, to see this and to know it with certain certainty,
How close, how close, how close...how close need I to be?
The question answered, yet unanswered, is it clear enough to see.
Is it clear enough to be? Close enough to know my fullest love,
Through all eternity.

I don't believe in love..I don't believe in fairy tales, and that is how it is.I dont believe in hope anymore.. I dont't believe in You. I will be wishing on a shooting star at the bottom of a wishing well. Out there beyond the rainbow there is a place for me for You. A place for all to love and care for one another. I dont believe in love. I dont believe in fairy tales. and that is how it is. I dont believe in hope anymore.. But now i believe in You, out there beyond the rainbow there is a place for me. Just believe in me as I believe in You. my dreams will come true somewhere beyond that rainbow.. Please save a place for me.For i will wish upon that star in a wishing well of dreams and hopes for a better life...

My mom has a disability
This I know is true
But her actions are as normal
As let's say me and you
She takes me to the mall
Watches me roller skate
I can't wait to see what she does
When I go on my first date!
My grades are really important to her
She wants me to do good
I want to go to college
And she knows that I could
My mom is great,
regardless of the things she does for me
Most of the time, I don't even see
Her disability
For she can laugh
And she can love
Right from her wheelchair
She can do anything a mom can do
She just can't take the stairs!

The Most Whole..The Most Holy
The most whole...some may say an unusual phrase, but what is wholeness?
What are some of the qualities that make a person complete and whole?
Intelligence-The ability to absorb great amounts of information, then interrelate them.
Connect many bits of information, so that they are drawn together and make a more consistent coherent whole. There is that word again. More than absorb and connect, the next step is to access. The further ability to access information instantly, on command. Intelligence is absorb, connect, and then instantly access!
Next, Attitude-A benevolent outlook on the world. Indeed, a benevolence that is so ever present, it is almost unappreciated. A quality so shiningly radiant that it may out shine intelligence for the many who are usually blinded by its brilliance.
Then, Competence-The sheer ability to do doing, well. Indeed, more than just well, but doing the doing easily, so easy in fact, that the sheer ease often almost totally obscures the intense focused effort.
How much cooperation from the body is necessary for intelligence, attitude, and doing to form a Trinity of Wholeness? Indeed, how can this trinity of wholeness manifest so brilliantly, often with the most minimal cooperation from the physical form?
Upon further reflection, perhaps the answer is easy.
The Vibrating Invisible of You! The nurtured invisible connection to the wholeness of the universe. The natural connection is ever present..., is supplemented and perfectly complimented by your trinity of wholeness. This creates a wholeness that transcends wholeness. This transcendent wholeness is Holy! The Holiness of You. The gifts of your Trinity of Wholeness, combined with your consciousness, form a genuine holiness.
This combination has formed a holiness that it is my honor to behold. It is a holiness that is usually unacknowledged and unappreciated. It is my honor to fully acknowledge and radiantly appreciate both the wholeness and holiness of you, and your vibrant life! May you see and experience and know your ever expanding wholeness and holiness through me.

She's walking slowly down a long lonely road
Where she's headed not even she knows
Memories flood her head
They pass by and by
Memories of him
That make her cry and cry
The days were special when he was there
Like the day they first met
On that warm sunny night at the fair
He caught her eye and she gave him a smile
And five years later he gave her a child
She is happy and yet still sad and even torn
For the one she loved
Will never see their unborn
Walking even slower now
She stops and wonders
Why did this happen? Why oh why now?
Their love was strong, like no other
He'll always be in her heart
He said he'd love her forever
She closes her eyes and sees his face
The tears continue to come
As if this was a race
Not in a hurry to go back home
Where they shared their love
And from where they hardly did roam
Why did you have go now? she wondered aloud
I never got to say goodbye to you
As she looked into the clouds
Still looking into the cloud scattered sky
She says I know you loved me
You showed me in so many ways
My heart will always hold our love
For as long as I'm here, day after day
One day I'll join you up there
My heart will be racing
To again be with you and share
The love that was meant to be
Between you and me
I say farewell for now my sweet
It's a kiss I'm sending to you
Along with these three words
I Love You

Pain
My pain is the illness I have swelling in side
my nephews pain is the loss of his 8 year old, going down in water, then in hospital
my mums pain is the age she feels
my friends pain is the hospital where he lies, cut up and veins resized
my brother pain is the daughter about to fly off to America in the sky's
my sisters pain, is the morning after
my dads feels no pain, buried deep in the ground
my families pain is shared around, it not just one but affects everyone

Rocky Mountain Therapy
I wake to the music of songbirds in the pines.
Sitting up, I stretch the pain from atrophied legs.
The playing field waits outside my window.
I gather my battle gear.
The donning of metal and plastic is automatic.
I check fitting and straps.
All in place I rise.
Cold legs are taut.
I find my rhythm and walk another mile.

Judy runs on batteries.
God is her only boyfriend
and she doesn't know him.
He touches her heart,
but she can't see him look
into her blue eyes
and she doesn't hear Him say,
you're beautiful.
Judy runs on batteries.
She trembles
at the thought of sex
and moans for want.
Every man's hello
is a fantasy,
but they just look
never touch
never come close.
Judy runs on batteries.
She's sent to school
with matted hair,
and flaky scalp.
She can't hold a mirror
to see it.
It's difficult enough
holding her book
on parental love.
Judy runs on batteries.

Love Is
Is love laying under the stars
Is love making out in the backseat of cars
Is love holding hands
Is love making big plan's
Is love the thing that makes our hearts beat
Is love far away or just across the street
Is love laying in bed with you all week
Is love the thing that makes your knees go weak
Is love the thing that pulls two souls togeather
Is love strong enough to last forever
Is love the thing that makes you cry
Is love the last thing you think of before you die
If this is what love means to you then pass it on
and let your dreams come true ''.

My Simple Prayer of Love
I pray to you heavenly father above
To answer this simple prayer of love
Please spare this one I love so true
Yet I don't have much to offer you
Though I asked a prayer earlier before
For you to a let me to walk once more
I ask of you to take this prayer in its place
For in my heart it would be no waste
Please help this one I hold in my heart
Cause without her I would crumble apart
To her I would give my own life
That too if it may be the price
This prayer I ask comes deep from the soul
Father God she's what makes me whole
I hope you hear this prayer which I cry
To please spare the love of my life

True Love
True love is so sweet true love is so kind
True love is what keeps our hearts in twined
Through distance apart and miles between
My love for you is strong at the seams
I dream of your kiss and imagine your taste
To caress my hand down the cheek of your face
To take your hand to hold in mine
To get lost in your eyes would be so divine
I give you all of my love with open arms
And protect you with my whole life, to never show you harm
With thanks to our father in heaven above
For allowing me to share with you what they call true love

I was so happy to find the best girl I have ever talked to on D4D.
I thought to myself can a woman like this truly exist, and why would she even talk to me?
I let my insecurities get to me, and before it was too late my true feelings I just couldn't see.
Why is it when something starts going good for me I always seem to wreck it?
If I have wrecked my chances with this girl, in my face I deserve a swift kick.
I was so happy because I felt truly found my queen.
Now I'm disappointed again, just like when you wake too early from a fantastic dream.
I was hoping this was the girl with which I would forever be.
However I lost that chance when she saw me for me.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR
What is God calling me to do?
As I sit by the window and wonder.
What dose the bible say I should do?
As I sit by the window watching woman drop her briefcase.
Jesus healed the sick and raise the dead I never did that!
As I watch someone walk there dog outside the window.
Jesus said i have come so you can have life more abundantly
How do I live life more abundantly?
Watching an old man pick up his bags!
As I wonder about Jesus died for my sins!
As a servant making my life clean!
What do I do with that?
As I watch a dog run away!
What can I give Christ in faith?
The greatest of us was a perfect servant!
How do I loves others like Jesus?
A neighbor knocks I open the door!!
He says: We need to help find the neighbor's Dog!
Thank you God you answered my prayer

THIS JOURNEY BEGINS
This journey begins with a glance, a smile,
A meeting of eyes ‘cross a crowded room.
They come together and stroll outside,
They gaze at the stars, breathe the scented air.
She shivers a little in the evening breeze,
His arm caresses and holds her tight.
She tilts her head, he bends down to hers
And places a kiss on her upturned lips.
They return to the room not saying a word.
No-one will know what happened out there.

Fading Picture
As I look into my grandma eyes I see that a light that was once so bright is now very dim.
She suffers from Alzheimer’s. It is as if the picture that is her memories is fading away.
Just yesterday when I went to see her she looked at me as if I was a stranger. This broke my heart. For how could the woman who I’m named after not know me. I’m her little bumble bee. She calls me that because when I was young I could never sit down. I was always buzzing around. I still love my grandma even if because of Alzheimer’s her memory of me is fading away. Because all pictures fade but the moments that those pictures remind you of have their own place in time.

A Withered Black Rose
This one is for you
For you and every thing you are
A memory to remind me of your grace
I will be forever sorry
Forever sorry
A never written song is what I was
My fears become what I am
Believe in faith
Believe in love
But never believe in something like me
A misery
A lonely soul, crying for one to love
And never to kill you again
So many tears are falling
Without looking back
This poetry
Me , never u
Forever in despair
The last cut I made in your mind will last in mine forever
Dream of me at night
Remember me of what I wanted to be
Never think of what I was
‘Cause I don't want make you cry again
My scars are too deep to heal
But in the end of this dream
What matters, nothing else other than your love
So many love songs
But only a forgiveness is what I beg
However my prayers have never been worth tear
No words left in me
Maybe I am here no more
All I was
7 verses of loneliness
Forever sorry for saying this
But I love you…

She Loves Me
She loves me, she loves me
More than anyone I’ve ever known
It’s time at last, to put away the past
This lonely heart has found a home
She needs me, she needs me
To help her thru the good times and bad
I’ll do my best to rise above the rest
And be the man that she’s never had
She wants me, I know she wants me
To wake up by her side everyday
She loves me, she really loves me
And she knows I feel the same way
